The IDA is hosting a cocktail reception for the nominees at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences in Beverly Hills on Wednesday evening from 6:30 - 10:30, February 20. And on Saturday the 23rd, the IDA will also host its annual DocuDay at the Writers Guild of America Theater, also in BH. From 9:00 a.m. to midnight, all the nominated films are screened throughout the day and evening. You can go to the IDA's website to learn more and to find out how to purchase tickets for these events.
The awards ceremony for the Oscars will take place at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood Sunday, February 24.
I will be in Los Angeles that week covering all of these events, as well as Film Independent's 23rd Annual Spirit Awards in the big tent on the beach, Saturday, February 23. I love New York so much, but I do miss that Pacific Ocean a whole bunch.
Again, congrats to all!
