Maria Finitzo's fascinating film is having a preview screening in Los Angeles courtesy of Independent Lens and ITVS this Sunday the 16th. I saw this 60-minute doc at IDFA where it was one of fifteen films screened as part of the Silver Wolf Competition.
The film is a portrait of neurologist, Jack Kessler, who in the wake of his daughter's accident, which leaves her paralyzed from the waist down, becomes one of the most passionate advocates of stem cell research.
The free screening is at 2:00 p.m. at the Fine Arts Theatre in West Hollywood. A panel discussion will follow the screening on the current state of stem cell research.
