Just flew in from Helsinki, Finland a few hours ago. I had an absolutely amazing time--what a beautiful place. I will be blogging over the next few days about my experiences there and review the many wonderful films I saw at the '09 Docpoint festival. I'll also share what might be on tap for next year's iteration.
So, I'm horribly jet lagged and trying to calm down so I can go to sleep since it's now about five in the morning for me (argh!), but wanted to link my site to artdaily.org's article about the upcoming Doc Fortnight doings at MoMA for their 2nd Annual Doc Month (Feb.). Click here to read their comprehensive article and to link through to the MoMA site for more info on the schedule and ticket purchasing.
Also, just a quick mention before I nod off since the week promises to begin with a bang: this Wednesday, the 28th, I will be moderating this month's DocuClub run by Arts Engine. We'll be showing a work-in-progress on a really wonderful project, Augusta Palmer's The Hand of Fatima. Click here to view all the details. I hope you can come out and view the film and participate in the post-screening confab with the director at The Tank at 7:00.
A big kiitos to all my Docpoint friends!
