Just flew over the pond today and am chilling (literally) in Helsinki, Finland where I'll be for the next month or so, guest-lecturing at the documentary program at the TaiK and working at the DocPoint festival, which takes place the 26th through the 31st of this month with concurrent festivities in Tallinn, Estonia.
I have a cozy, lovely studio adjacent to a sex toy shop and a café called Las Vegas and couldn't be happier. After a massively delinquent but ultra-pleasurable couple of weeks, promises of much more regular blogging to come and all that but, first, some cool news from home:
Michael Tully, our ace editor-in-chief at HTN is kicking off the new Hammer to Nail-hosted series, Misunderstood Gems at the 92YTribeca this Thursday night, January 14th at 8:00 p.m. With a desire to curate films that are fun communal viewing experiences, Tully is starting off the series with Jackass Number Two. Click here for more info and to purchase advance tickets to the show.
More soon from northern climes and my adventures in Wonderland.
